  • You will promptly disclose to us any changes to the information in the Intake Form and will provide any other information necessary for us to provide the services.

  • The completed Intake Form MUST include:

    • current medical conditions (including any allergies), all known behavioral issues or fears, any bite history

    • proof that your pet(s) in classes are up to date on all vaccinations

    • spay/neuter status

Payment and Rates

  • Payment will be accepted via Paypal or Venmo and is required at the time of scheduling the service.

  • Rates are subject to change. Most up-to-date rates will be on the website at https://www.petspectives.com/rates.

  • Additional fees may apply to the service (i.e. travel outside of the service area, multiple pets, etc). All rates, fees, and payment totals will be reviewed by both parties prior to payment.

  • Payment of service will lock in the rate for that service.

Cancellation Policy, Refunds, and Rescheduling

  • Cancellations may be made without penalty up to 2 days (48 hours) prior to the session start time.*

  • Under no circumstances are refunds given on services that have already been used.

  • Packages are non-refundable from the time of purchase, except in the cases of the re-homing or death of a pet.

  • All packages expire 6 months after purchase date unless otherwise noted.

  • Membership may be canceled at any time so that payment will not be due the following month.

  • Monthly membership payments are not refundable even if the services were not used.

  • *In the event you or your pet are feeling ill or are experiencing an emergency, the session will be rescheduled without penalty.

  • *In the event of inclement weather (extreme hot/cold, icy conditions, etc) in which either party feels like conducting the session will be hazardous to any pets’ or persons’ health, the session will be rescheduled without penalty.

Training and Behavior Session Methods and Safety

  • We do not allow choke, prong, pinch, slip, or shock collars on the pets training with us. If you use any of these on your pet, please discuss this with us beforehand.

  • We do not allow retractable leashes. If you do not have a non-retractable leash, please discuss this with us beforehand so we can bring an appropriate substitute.

  • Only basket-type muzzles are allowed (i.e. no soft/sleeve muzzles). If you have any questions or concerns about this, please contact your trainer prior to the session.

  • When outside, pets must remain on leash at all times unless instructed otherwise.

  • We use Fear Free, positive reinforcement, and LIMA practices. We will never use or recommend positive punishment.

  • We will use treats primarily for reinforcement during training sessions. We expect that you will have plenty of your pet’s favorite treats available during each session, though we may have some of our own as well. Please let us know of your pet’s allergies or dietary restrictions prior to the first session.

  • Assumption of Risk: You acknowledge that animal behavior is fluid and triggers can be unpredictable and/or unmanageable. Regardless of training, handling, or environmental circumstance, Petspectives cannot protect against every potential injury, risk, or accident to you, to other persons participating in the training or on the property where the training is taking place, or to pets. These may include pet attacks, pet bites, and the responsive actions and complications that arise from them, and you understand and acknowledge that such risks are inherent and cannot be eliminated. By signing up for services, you are willing to assume the risk to yourself, your pet, and others accompanying you of your participation in pet training, including the associated risks of bodily injury, death or property damage while participating in the pet training and related activities.

Medical Emergencies

  • In the case of a medical emergency where you are not present and/or cannot be reached, Petspectives shall:

    • Take the pet(s) to the veterinarian you identified as the pet’s veterinarian; or

    • Obtain on-site treatment from a veterinarian; or

    • Take the pet(s) to an emergency clinic if the previous two options are not feasible in the reasonable judgment of our trainer or handler on the scene.

  • You will pay any medical bills or other costs associated with veterinary care which are provided during the time during which you could not be reached.

Privacy Policy

  • By signing up and paying for services, you consent to us collecting, storing, and using personal information about you and your pet, including your name, address, and contact information, for the purpose of providing the services and the handling and safekeeping of your pet and your personal safety.

  • We will not disclose your personal information to any third party except in the case of a medical emergency, in which your contact information may be shared with the caring veterinary hospital.

  • By signing the waiver, you give Petspectives the right to take photographs or videos (including audio recordings) of your pets and their environment to accurately collect information about the case and make the best recommendations.

  • If selected on the waiver, we may use the photographs or video in social media posts. Social media posts will not contain personal information except for first names if selected on the waiver.

  • If selected on the waiver, we may use your and/or your pet’s first names in social media posts and/or case studies.

  • If you provide us with keys, remote control entry devices, access codes, or similar devices or information to provide our services, we will keep those devices and information safe and confidential and return any such devices when we are no longer providing services or on request.

Trainer Option to Terminate Service

At any time, the Trainer can terminate the service if:

  • The pet is exhibiting unmanageable aggression which has a high likelihood of causing harm to people or other pets, or

  • The client breaches any term or condition of this agreement, consistently fails to follow Trainer instructions, or refuses to comply with stated instructions.

Training Outcomes Not Guaranteed

  • Petspectives will make every reasonable effort to help you achieve your training and behavior modification goals but makes no guarantee of results.

  • You acknowledge and agree that there is no guarantee that your pet will achieve the desired level of training, despite the best efforts of you and Petspectives.

  • You understand that the recommendation of any other product or service by Petspectives is not a guarantee of satisfaction with that product or service.

Right of Refusal

  • You have the right to refuse to participate, or have your pet participate, in any part of our assessment, training class, and/or behavior change program.

  • If you have any concerns, please communicate them so that we can make adjustments as necessary within the boundaries of our training methods.

  • You have the right to ask for further clarification as questions arise and the right to be clear on all relevant details about training before consenting to the consulting relationship.

  • You have the option to request that any specific photos or videos of you and your pet be excluded from any of our promotional material.
